The farm now comprises 18 hectares
of vineyard, 3 hectares of olive groves, 5 hectares
of seeding fields and 4 hectares of woodland.
La Colombaia farm house was originally the site for
the cellar used to make wine ( on the ground floor
) and the grandparents’ home ( on the first
floor ).
In 1997 a thunderbolt cracked the bearing structure
and so we had to move the cellar. It is now placed
at the basement floor of the family house, near the
church of Santa Liberata, from which the farm draws
inspiration for its name.
Every year we produce Chianti wine D.o.c.g. , I.G.T.
wine Toscano Red and White wine. From 2002 we produce
also the "Cerreto" a Supertuscan high quality
wine made with Sangiovese grapes and refine in oak
wood barrel for 16 mounths and in bottle for 2 mounths.
Our Extra Vergin Olive oil is an I.G.P. Montalbano
with an acidity of 0,2% and is made with the olive
you can see around the Agritourism.
